The care model
How Abstinex works
- 01
Eligibility
Confirm you are an adult in a supported state (Arizona first, then Nevada and Colorado).
- 02
Consent
Review and provide informed consent before any clinical step.
- 03
Smart intake
Complete a structured, judgment-free intake capturing your history and goals.
- 04
Screenings
Complete safety screening and triage before any provider action.
- 05
Labs
Upload or request labs for medication-safety review. Labs do not diagnose alcohol use disorder by themselves.
- 06
Smart intake review
Your case is categorized Green / Yellow / Red. Green means ready for provider medication-action review — it does not mean medication is approved.
- 07
Provider medication-action review
A licensed provider makes every medication decision. A provider decision is always required.
- 08
Recovery tools
Structured recovery planning and behavioral tools between clinical touchpoints.
- 09
Follow-up
Scheduled check-ins reviewed by your care team.
- 10
Synchronous visit upgrade
When a live visit is needed, a synchronous visit upgrade is offered — schedule-first, and nothing is confirmed until payment is connected.
Our standing boundaries
- Medication is not approved automatically — a licensed provider reviews every request.
- Provider review is required before any medication action.
- Emergency care is not provided here. If you are in immediate danger, call 911, or call or text 988.
- Launch is state-limited — Arizona first, then Nevada and Colorado. Not available nationwide.
- Pricing is preview-only until payments are connected; no checkout exists yet.
- Smart Assist never diagnoses alcohol use disorder or approves medication — licensed clinicians make every clinical decision.
- No ads, analytics, CRM, or lead capture are connected; no testimonials are collected.
- Abstinex uses privacy-conscious, HIPAA-aligned design — never a claim of HIPAA compliance.
Smart review does not approve medication. Green means ready for provider medication-action review, and a provider decision is required. Red means RN follow-up and care coordination. Labs do not diagnose alcohol use disorder by themselves.
Important safety information
Abstinex is not emergency care, detox management, or a crisis hotline. Patients experiencing a medical emergency, severe withdrawal symptoms, or immediate safety risk should seek emergency help.
